At WAVE, our mission is simple: protect more swimmers and prevent drownings—because no child should ever be lost to something so preventable.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the renewal and expansion of our national partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA)—the largest youth-serving organization in the U.S. Together, we’re advancing the safety of millions of young people in and around the water.
Press Release
ATLANTA – May 28, 2025 – Boys & Girls Clubs of America and WAVE Systems, Inc. have renewed and expanded their ongoing partnership to promote water safety and support local Clubs with access to advanced drowning prevention technology. This continued collaboration strengthens both organizations’ commitment to ensuring the safety of young people in and around water.
Since 2021, WAVE and Boys & Girls Clubs of America have worked together to introduce WAVE’s wearable Drowning Prevention Systems at select Clubs. Building on the success of those early implementations, the renewed partnership will expand awareness and access to WAVE’s technology for Clubs across the country—whether they operate their own pools or organize swim outings at off-site locations. Clubs will also continue to benefit from product discounts and dedicated support services.
WAVE’s technology is currently used at more than 150 aquatic facilities in 28 states, offering real-time monitoring and alerting to reduce the risk of drowning and support lifeguard response. The system is known for its ease of use, affordability, and life-saving capabilities.
“Youth safety remains our top priority, and we are proud to continue our partnership with WAVE to bring this important layer of protection to more Clubs. WAVE’s innovative technology enhances our ability to keep kids safe while they enjoy time in the water.”
— Alan Mogridge, Director, Child & Club Safety and Aquatic Safety Specialist at Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
“We’re honored to continue our relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, an organization that sets the standard for youth development and safety. Their early support helped establish WAVE as a trusted solution in aquatic safety, and we’re proud to grow this partnership to help even more Clubs protect their members.”
— Mark Caron, Co-Founder and CEO of WAVE Systems.
